Op de Boerderij
Serious Game about the use of RFID Chips
About the game
Op de Boerderij takes place on a typical dutch farm. The game introduces children to the field of RFID technology and its applications in a friendly farm setting with animals, cornfields and tractors. It was created for the Techniekmuseum Heim in Hengelo where it is played by children between 6 and 14 years old.

A total of six students were involved in this project.
Best Serious Game
Played in the Techniekmuseum Heim in Hengelo the game teaches children how RFID technology can be applied on a farm. In a collection of minigames the children apply RFID chips to new animals, help the farmer collect eloped sheep and push packages with RFID chips in the farms factory.
Best Student Game
The game is displayed in the Techniekmuseum Heim, using the big touch screens. When designing the mini games that introduce the children to the applications of RFID technology we put a big focus on clear objectives and strong visual feedback. This and the focus on easy and intuitive controls on the touch screen guarantee that the children enjoy the 5 minutes they play our game.
